TURF TIPS
BEFORE YOU PLANT YOUR SOD OR SEED, MAKE SURE YOU ARE PLANTING IN AN AREA THAT IS NOT IN A HARSH ENVIRONMENT OR IN SHADE FOR MORE THAN HALF THE DAY. ONCE YOU HAVE DETERMINED YOU HAVE THE PROPER SITE THEN USE A HIGH QUALITY SUN & SHADE PRODUCT.
-Use less water in shady areas (water deeply and less frequently with a professionally installed working irrigation system).
-Increase sunlight by proper pruning, (have professional arborist remove lower branches and thin out the tops of dense trees).
-Fertilize with a high quality granule form fertilizer, (HT Proformula or Best Turf Supreme for summer and spring application and Greenall Fall & Winter Fertilizer Fall and Winter application).
-Have the lawn “Professionally Aerated” in the Fall & Early Spring.
-Mow the grass at a higher height, (3 inches, always keep mower blade sharpened).
-Keep the lawn free of debris, (always remove leaves, needles, furniture & play structures, ect).
-Limit the amount of traffic and play activity.
